Updated portfolio with older Flash works!
26 May 2009, 11:46
I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, which is to upload my previous Flash works in my online portfolio for viewing. Previous portfolio structures prevented me from combining Flash with Screenshots in one same dynamic portfolio without any problems.
This new portfolio featured in the Design Studio is flexible enough to detect whether an Image or Flash movie is used for the work. Damn cool shit. Whoops, I should stop complimenting stuff I coded and designed myself. Sorry.
Anyways, this is a personal post, because these works which are being featured were done while I was still employed at Orientalsky as their Production Supervisor. I thought they’d be nice to show online, because I personally liked them quite abit….and Flash ALWAYS appeals to the average consumer, much more than a validated XHTML website.
One is a Halloween Greeting for an artist named Wiiky who was based in Shanghai at that time. It was a collaboration between me and artist Joe Cheng. Joe provided the vector artwork, and I pieced them together and animated the whole thing.

The Second one is much simpler, a Christmas Greeting for the company. I cut some corners here and used After Effects to achieve the visual effects, and then imported the animation into Flash, adding more Flash stuff and optimizing the whole bloody large animation in general.

How do you like them ?
