Taiwan Lohas is the name of a firm specializing in developing farm-land for living, without destroying the nature. The term ‘LOHAS’ actually refer to Lifestyles Of Health And Sustainability.

We were asked by the Taiwanese firm to design and develop a website for them. Their request for design were simple, but the site had to hold and be able to organize and display alot of content.

The name ‘Wordpress’ immediately came to our minds.

Wordpress was traditionally used as a blogging platform, but in recent years, it has developed and grown into a formidable Content Management System.

First we decided to take care of the Flash intro which was also requested. We were given an Adobe Illustrator file of slides they would like in the Flash intro. We quickly ‘dissected’ their Illustrator file and began buidling and designing the Flash animation. Near the end, we decided to pop in a piano track which suited the theme of the animation 100%.

Next, we implemented their design outline onto XHTML/CSS and then built their site structure in Wordpress. After the skeletons of the back-end were solid, we then fleshed out the site with the content and design. The last step was clearing out the bugs and making sure it looked presentable in Internet Explorer 6, 7, Firefox and Safari.

The result was a beautiful and dynamic website packed full of fresh colors and content.
