Eastern Petroleum Group first approached us 1 year ago before this project to discuss the possibility of a redesign of their then website. However, due to time constraints and changing priorities, we ended up tweaking parts of their website and implementing minor graphical changes.

1 year later, we were approached by them once again, this time to discuss a full fledged overhaul and rebranding of their website. Needless to say, we were thrilled and more than happy to finish what we had started.

The concept for their website was a little tricky at first. While we were no strangers to designing environmental-friendly and engineering themed websites, their main service highlight revolved around asphalt/bitumen, a substance associated with the color black. A stark contrast to the green theme.

We took the challenge, and conceived a design around a green colored theme, while implementing a metallic touch to the header to signify the engineering aspects of the company. Alot of photo retouch work was performed on the source material, because they lacked a high quality media kit then. A Flash banner was created and attached to the main static header of the page, which gave a highlight of the focus of their technology, in an eye catching way. Modern bells and whistles of web trends were implemented in the form of the overlay dropdown menus as well as collapsible panels on the home page.

The result was a very clean and slick looking website, that clearly showed that Eastern Petroleum Group is a very modern company, dealing with cutting edge technology.
